This page explains what Vibseek collects through Vibseek.com and Vibseek Studio, why we collect it, and what stays on your device.

Vibseek GbR (Aleksander Banjanin Morato and Francois Wurmus), Colbestr 29, 10247 Berlin, Germany, is the controller for the personal data covered by this policy.
This policy applies to Vibseek.com, Vibseek Studio access and waitlist flows, support communications, newsletter and product update signups, and related website analytics.
MusicMapper remains a separate product with its own privacy page. If you are using MusicMapper or interacting throughmusicmapper.app/privacy, read that policy as well.
What we collect: broad website and device information such as page views, landing pages, referrer or campaign source, browser information, and broad geographic region.
Why we collect it: to keep the site working, understand how people find Vibseek, measure demand for Studio, and improve the site and onboarding flow.
Where it goes: baseline audience measurement can be collected through cookieless PostHog without persistent analytics storage. If you opt in to analytics, Vibseek also uses persistent PostHog and Google Analytics for richer website and product-interest analysis.
What we collect: the information you enter into the Studio form, including your name, email address, DAW selections, operating system or platform details, chip selection where relevant, newsletter preference, and campaign attribution when a QR or campaign link is used.
Why we collect it: to send the download or waitlist response you requested, prioritize compatibility and rollout decisions, manage product communications, and keep a record of the terms, privacy, and marketing choices you made.
Where it goes: the form data is sent to Vibseek's backend and stored in Vibseek-managed systems. Vibseek Studio itself is designed to run locally: your DAW projects, audio files, and sample library are not uploaded to Vibseek as part of normal use.
What we collect: your contact details, the message you send, and any files, screenshots, or examples you deliberately attach.
Why we collect it: to answer your question, investigate bugs, resolve account or access issues, and improve product reliability.
Where it goes: support messages are received and stored by Vibseek and our email providers. If you attach files or screenshots, we use them only for the support request you made.
Vibseek Studio is currently intended to be local-first. Vibseek does not treat in-app diagnostics, crash reporting, or project uploads as part of normal use.
If Vibseek later offers optional diagnostics or bug-report uploads, those features should be opt-in and explained at the point of use. They may include technical information such as app version, operating system details, crash traces, or performance data, but they are not meant to silently upload your projects or audio by default.
Vibseek does not sell your personal data for money. We share data only where it is needed to run Vibseek.com, provide Studio access, communicate with you, secure the service, or comply with law.
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, Vibseek generally relies on contract or steps prior to contract for requested access and support flows, legitimate interests for security and limited anonymous audience measurement, consent for marketing emails and optional persistent analytics, and legal obligations where the law requires retention or disclosure.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data we hold about you.
You can withdraw marketing consent or change website analytics preferences at any time. Analytics preferences can be updated through the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
To ask about, correct, or delete the personal data you shared with Vibseek, contact support@vibseek.com.
If you are in California, you may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and related laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive a portable copy of certain personal information.
Vibseek keeps personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including access and waitlist management, support, product communications, security, recordkeeping, and legal compliance.
Vibseek operates from Germany, but some service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, Vibseek relies on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Vibseek uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. You should also protect your own devices, local files, and backups when using local-first desktop software.
Vibseek has also explored other product directions, including Vibseek Samples. That product is not the primary focus of this page.
If Vibseek later expands or changes the active product lineup, this policy may be updated to reflect the live scope of Vibseek.com and the products it actively promotes from this site.
Vibseek may update this policy to reflect product, operational, or legal changes. The latest version will always be posted here with the updated date.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection or privacy regulator.
